Aquagold®
About Aquagold
Aquagold Fine Touch is a micro-infusion facial that delivers a custom cocktail of skin-enhancing ingredients - Tox, hyaluronic acid, vitamins, growth factors, PRP - directly into the upper dermis using 20 ultra-fine, 24-karat gold-plated microneedles. Often called the “super facial,” it’s the only treatment that combines the benefits of microneedling, neurotoxin, filler, and custom serums in a single, painless session.
Unlike traditional microneedling, Aquagold doesn’t rely on creating micro-injuries to stimulate healing. The hollow, gold-plated needles are thinner than a human hair and stamp a personalized formula just beneath the skin’s surface - deep enough for the active ingredients to absorb effectively, but shallow enough that there’s virtually no downtime, no bleeding, and no visible irritation.
At HoneMD - in Torrance and Huntington Beach - we customize every Aquagold treatment based on a skin consultation. The cocktail we formulate for you depends on your specific concerns - whether that’s pore size, fine lines, dullness, texture, redness, or pre-event glow.
Who This Treatment Is For
- You want noticeably better skin texture, smaller pores, and a visible glow - without downtime
- You have a wedding, photoshoot, event, or vacation coming up and want your skin to look its absolute best
- You’re already getting Tox or filler and want to enhance your overall skin quality between treatments
- You’ve tried HydraFacials or standard facials and want something that delivers deeper, longer-lasting results
- You have sensitive skin that can’t tolerate aggressive microneedling, chemical peels, or laser treatments
- You want to address fine lines, dullness, or uneven texture without committing to a treatment with significant downtime
Aquagold is one of our most popular add-on treatments at our Torrance and Huntington Beach studios - many patients schedule it alongside their regular neurotoxin appointment for a combined skin + injectable session. It’s also the go-to treatment for brides, event prep, and anyone who wants “glass skin” without recovery time.
What Makes Aquagold Different from Microneedling
Traditional microneedling (like a derma-pen or Morpheus8) creates controlled micro-injuries in the skin to trigger a healing response and boost collagen production. It works well but typically involves 2–5 days of redness, peeling, and downtime.
Aquagold takes a fundamentally different approach. Instead of injuring the skin, it infuses it. The 20 hollow microneedles deliver your custom cocktail directly into the dermis - no micro-tears, no bleeding, no healing phase. You walk out with an immediate glow and can wear makeup the next day.
The tradeoff: Aquagold doesn’t produce the aggressive collagen remodeling that deep microneedling does. It’s designed for surface-level refinement - pore reduction, texture smoothing, radiance, hydration - not deep scar revision. For patients who need both, we often recommend alternating: Aquagold every 4–6 weeks for maintenance glow, and traditional microneedling or red light therapy on a quarterly basis for deeper remodeling.
What Goes Into Your Custom Cocktail
Every Aquagold treatment at HoneMD starts with a skin consultation where your NP injector selects the ingredients based on your concerns. Common formulations include:
- Tox (micro-dose) - shrinks pores and reduces oil production across the full face. This is the ingredient that makes Aquagold unique - you can’t get micro-dosed Tox across the entire skin surface with any other treatment.
- Hyaluronic acid - deep hydration that plumps from within, creating a dewy, glass-skin finish.
- Vitamin C and antioxidants - brightens dull skin and evens tone.
- Growth factors and peptides - stimulates collagen production and skin repair.
- PRP (platelet-rich plasma) - uses your own growth factors for natural skin rejuvenation.
Your injector may use one ingredient or a combination depending on your goals. The formulation is mixed fresh for each treatment.
Why Patients in the South Bay & Orange County Choose HoneMD for Aquagold
HoneMD is an injectables-focused med spa with studios in Torrance and Huntington Beach. While Aquagold sits in the “skin treatment” category, it’s fundamentally an injectable procedure - the results depend entirely on what goes into the cocktail and how it’s applied. Our NP injectors understand how each ingredient works at the skin level (especially micro-dosed neurotoxin and HA).
We also pair Aquagold with your broader treatment plan. If you’re already getting forehead Tox every 3–4 months, your Aquagold cocktail can include micro-dosed tox across the full face for pore refinement between your regular appointments - extending the value of every visit.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does Aquagold cost at HoneMD?
At HoneMD, Aquagold treatments are $599 per session at both our Torrance and Huntington Beach locations. Each treatment uses a single-use, sterile Aquagold vial filled with a custom blend of ingredients selected specifically for your skin. Pricing is all-inclusive - there are no add-on fees for specific ingredients.
What does Aquagold feel like?
Most patients describe the sensation as gentle tapping or a light tickle across the skin. The 24k gold-plated microneedles are thinner than a human hair, so there’s virtually no pain. Numbing cream is optional but most patients don’t need it. The treatment takes about 30–45 minutes.
Is there any downtime after Aquagold?
No. You may have a slight flush (like a mild sunburn appearance) for a few hours, but it resolves quickly. You can return to normal activities immediately. Avoid makeup for 24 hours and skip heavy exercise, saunas, and retinol for 24–48 hours. Most patients schedule Aquagold 3–5 days before a big event for optimal glow.
How soon will I see results?
You’ll see an immediate glow and improved skin texture within hours of treatment. The full effect - including pore reduction, smoother texture, and enhanced radiance - develops over 24–72 hours. Results typically last 4–6 weeks, which is why many patients schedule Aquagold on a monthly basis or 3–5 days before a specific event.
How is Aquagold different from a regular facial or HydraFacial?
Traditional facials and HydraFacials work on the skin’s surface - cleansing, exfoliating, and hydrating the outermost layer. Aquagold delivers active ingredients (including neurotoxin and HA) into the dermis, which is several layers deeper. This means the effects are more pronounced, longer-lasting, and address concerns like pore size and fine lines that surface-level treatments can’t reach.
How is Aquagold different from regular microneedling?
Traditional microneedling creates controlled micro-injuries to stimulate collagen production - effective but comes with 2–5 days of redness and downtime. Aquagold infuses rather than injures: the hollow needles deliver ingredients into the dermis without creating tears or bleeding. The result is zero downtime but less aggressive collagen remodeling. Many patients alternate between Aquagold (for maintenance glow) and traditional microneedling (for deeper remodeling).
Can I combine Aquagold with Tox or filler?
Yes - many patients schedule Aquagold alongside their regular neurotoxin or filler appointment. The Aquagold facial treats the skin surface (pores, texture, radiance) while your injectable treatment addresses the muscles or volume beneath. The two are complementary and can be performed in the same visit.
How often should I get Aquagold?
For ongoing skin maintenance, every 4–6 weeks is ideal. For event prep, schedule your Aquagold treatment 3–5 days before the event. Some patients do a series of 3 monthly treatments to build cumulative results, then transition to maintenance every 6–8 weeks.
Where is Aquagold performed at HoneMD?
At HoneMD’s Torrance and Huntington Beach locations. Both studios use the same Aquagold protocol, the same conservative-dose-first ingredient selection, and the same NP injector team training.
