Bunny Lines

During your appointment, your aesthetic nurse injector will assess your facial movement and determine the exact location of the muscle causing the bunny lines.

A small amount of neurotoxin is injected into either side of the nose to reduce the creasing that appears when you smile, laugh, or squint.

Most clients describe the injections as a small pinch and are done in under 5 minutes.

• Injection time: 5–10 minutes
• Results begin: 3–5 days
• Full effect: 10–14 days
• Duration of results: 3–4 months

Very minimal. Most patients feel only a slight pinch or pressure at the injection site. No numbing is necessary, and discomfort is brief.

There is no downtime. You may experience mild redness or pinpoint swelling at the injection site, which fades within minutes to a few hours. You can return to work, errands, or social plans right after your appointment.

We recommend avoiding exercise, alcohol, or laying flat for 4–6 hours after treatment to allow the neurotoxin to settle properly.

Pre-care:

• Avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, and vitamin E for 7 days before treatment. No alcohol 24 hours prior.
• Arrive with clean skin and no makeup near the nose.
• Consult your doctor before stopping any prescription medication.

Post care:

• Remain upright for 4–6 hours post-injection
• Avoid rubbing or massaging the area
• Skip exercise and saunas for 24 hours
• No facials or treatments near the injection site for 1 week

A follow-up appointment can be scheduled if you need a dosage adjustment or want to evaluate additional treatment areas.

Within about a week, you’ll notice the skin around the nose appears smoother, less creased, and more relaxed – especially during facial expressions. Results typically last 3 to 4 months, with touch-ups recommended seasonally to maintain a soft, natural look.

This subtle enhancement can significantly improve facial balance when combined with other areas, like the forehead, glabella (11’s), or crow’s feet.

Treating bunny lines typically requires 4–8 units of neurotoxin, depending on the strength of the muscle and how prominent the lines are.

Your injector will determine the exact number of units recommended based on your facial anatomy, wrinkle severity, and whether you’re treating other areas at the same time. We always take a conservative approach, with the option to adjust at your follow-up if needed.
