Bunny lines are the fine diagonal wrinkles that appear on either side of the nose when you smile, laugh, or scrunch your face. They're caused by repeated contraction of the nasalis muscle - the thin muscle that runs along the bridge and sides of your nose.

When the frontalis and corrugator are relaxed, the nasalis often compensates by working harder - making existing bunny lines more prominent or causing new ones to appear.
